The Holmes County Airport was built in 1966 with a   3,500' runway and was dedicated by Governor James Rhodes on October 8, 1967.  The Fixed Base  Operator is Rock Aviation, which offers charter service, maintenance, lessons and sells fuel.  The Airport is governed and maintained by the Holmes County Airport Authority, a board of seven members, who are appointed by the Holmes County Commissioners, and who volunteer countless hours to the betterment of the Airport.  Numerous grants have been obtained from the State Ohio for runway resurfacing, obstruction    removal and lighting systems.  Holmes County is proud of the Airport and the services it provides.
