Philosophy and Goals
The Holmes County Adult Probation Department is located in Millersburg, Ohio, the County Seat of Holmes County. It serves the County (Municipal) and the Common Pleas Courts.
Holmes County is a rural, agricultural area, located in east-central Ohio midway between Akron and Columbus. Its population is 35,000. Approximately 50% of Holmes County's residents are members of the Amish religion.
The Probation Department is created under authority of the Common Pleas Court and is comprised of a Chief Probation Officer, two Probation Officers, an Intensive Supervision Officer and an Administrative Assistant.
